Lowlights

  • Being “homeless” for a while – but getting to connect with so many friends and realizing how supported and loved I am. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!
  • Being yelled at and followed on the street – but getting to learn about human rights and finding new ways to BE LOVE and hold space for everything.
  • Experiencing the affects of legal disputes, but learning how to love and hold space in any situation.
  • Listening to some friends going through tough times – but getting to be the person others turn to because I am a listener and a space holder.
  • Losing a family member of a close friend – but being reminded of how important it is to reach out to others and write, love, HUG, smile, hold.

All in all it was a truly amazing year. Thank you for being part of it.

Time to MAKE 2012 THE YEAR OF ENDLESS LOVE.

Day 251 - Sunglasses

it took me forever to get to the police station.

and i wasn’t going for any glamorous or scandalous reason.

just a criminal record check.

it was so far away.

and the buses don’t run often enough.

so on the way back I waited an hour for the bus.

it seamed they had all vanished.

and all the phones were silent.

no one could pick up it seamed.

finally the bus arrived.

there was an accident.

the roads were closed.

and so I sat on the bus.

by myself.

and put on my sunglasses.

even though it was the middle of winter.

and the sun had long since set.

so that no one would see me cry.

It felt really good to write this. I’ve had a tough few weeks. Glad to have a supportive community around me.
